We were recommended some 10 years ago by a family member, a financial adviser to help us with sorting out our first mortgage.  This all went well and we were able to buy our first property together. This was a 5 year fixed as we wanted the security of knowing what we were paying for 5 years. this was all sorted very simply and easily by Lucie at Wade finance.

The five years were up and we decide instead of remortgaging we would try and move home and  move up the ladder. We contacted Lucie and again after a few forms and emails, everything was so simple and easy to do and able to follow all instruction, everything was laid out for you to understand. so  we were on our way again to a new property. this was a two year fixed.

Two year are up and again we follow the route of Wade finance and Lucie again. simple easy straightforward form filling and checks and another mortgage arranged for us again another two year fixed. 

So onto the present day,two year fixed up for renewal but this time for the worse we have decided to part and sell the house. tough times all round. I was looking at a new build property to take advantage of the government help to buy scheme. While looking I was informed it would best to use their own recommended mortgage advisers as it would make it easier, how further from the truth were they!!!

The financial advisers they put me in contact with were very keen to help and all seemed very good until after three weeks I had not heard anything back, after several calls to them I had no call back or replies to my emails or answer phone messages. all on top of what I was dealing with at home.  I now have the house builder contacting me about putting a deposit on the house I was interested in, by now I had lost my first and second option homes and was looking like loosing my third as I couldn't get any reply from "their" advisers.  The house builder then made contact with them and was told I was good for the mortgage so could accept a deposit from me, quick to get things moving I rushed over and paid the deposit and secured the property.

This is where the fun really starts, as a week later I finally receive a call from the adviser, now telling me I was unable to get a mortgage!!  He had tried to apply for a mortgage on three occasions and all failed so now I had three full applications on my history and a deposit on a house I now looked like not being able to buy. all this and wasted 6 weeks. so on top of everything else going on this was the last thing I needed.

I then went the route I should of originally, and spoke with Lucie. I explained the situation I had gotten into and the mess the other adviser had left me with. It was again a few emails back and forth, forms signed checks performed and a few phone calls, and a few days later I have a message if I am truthful wasn't really deep down expecting. I have a mortgage and on top of that a good deal too.  So I now had a good mortgage deal and the ironic thing is it was with a lender I had  been turned down for with the previous adviser.

 So moral of the story is stick with what you know and there really is a difference in the people you use, they may claim to be "advisers" !! but there is a big difference in the quality of the service you get. I for one will never use anybody else and this experience really has proven the quality of service from Lucie at wade. When the odds really were against me, Lucie was able to still get me a good deal and nothing was too much trouble for her. I am glad in a way that I had this trouble to start as it made me realize the quality of service Wade provide. I cannot recommended them enough or sing their praises loud enough.
